I'm a recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh's Library Science program with a specialization in Preservation Management. My dream . . . well one of my dreams . . . is to find myself in a special collections library surrounded by rare books and manuscripts. Is anything more lovely than moldy old books?
Happiness is sitting at a card table in a Victorian bedroom (where I'm doing an internship), assessing the condition of old books, and watching giant flakes of fluffy snow gliding to the ground, all while listening to the mingled sounds of big band music and two sexagenarian ladies discussing how they first met and fell in love with their husbands.

I'm a twenty-something librarian at a large Texas University with an amazing boyfriend. I'm a "unit head," supervising two full-time staff, three student assistants, and two graduate library assistants. I'm growing more comfortable in my job, and things are starting to pick up. Sure, there are ups and downs, but, in general, life is good.
